AHEGAO Kit — infrastructure administration

Keeps your infrastructure administered on your own servers, with no cloud and no calls outside. The core and three kits are running, and the source is open.

Backups are taken, but nobody has checked whether they restore. The network map lives in someone's head and in an outdated diagram, while the artifact store grows until the disk runs out. Every task is solved by its own script on its own server: one person writes them, the same person remembers them, and no report arrives to say the work went through. Cloud panels close that gap, but they require exposing the infrastructure outside, and that is not allowed everywhere.

We built a platform that deploys inside your perimeter from a single compose file and requires no outbound connections. The core owns accounts and access rights, jobs and schedules, the resource registry, teams and on-call rotations, secret storage and monitoring. Capability is added through kits: the PostgreSQL Kit takes backups, encrypts them and confirms they are usable by test restore, the Network Map Kit sweeps the subnet and builds the diagram, the Nexus OSS Kit maintains artifact storage.

Functionality

System capabilities

  1. 01Runs on your own servers: Docker Compose v2 and one compose file
  2. 02PostgreSQL backups with encryption and restore verification
  3. 03Subnet discovery and a map of the hosts it finds
  4. 04Sonatype Nexus OSS artifact storage upkeep
  5. 05Users, organizations, rights and licenses
  6. 06Jobs and schedules with agents on remote hosts
  7. 07Resources, metadata, teams and on-call rotations
  8. 08Monitoring and alerts, Prometheus metrics and Zabbix export
  9. 09Storage targets: local path, NFS/SMB and S3
  10. 10Secret encryption, delivery and rotation
  11. 11Elastic License 2.0: read, change and run it yourself, production included
  12. 12No trackers and no requests to third-party domains

Who it is for

  • A single administrator

One person runs the whole infrastructure: backups, network and storage come together in one panel instead of a dozen scripts.

  • A small company

A handful of servers and databases with no dedicated operations team, where downtime costs more than the platform.

  • A maintenance contractor

Running someone else's infrastructure: organizations, separated rights and an on-call rotation per client.

  • A closed network

Infrastructure that cannot go to the cloud: the platform is installed inside and never reaches out.

  • Your own monitoring

Teams already running Prometheus or Zabbix: kit metrics go there rather than into yet another panel.

  • Hosting and data centers

Many similar hosts and databases, where network sweeps and backup checks have to run on their own schedule.

Proven by restoring, not by hoping

A backup counts as a backup only once it has been restored and checked — that is what the PostgreSQL Kit stands on. The platform is our own: the core and three kits are running, with MySQL, MongoDB, file backups, Git, Ansible and Proxmox next. The source is open under the Elastic License 2.0 — you can install and run the platform yourself, production included.
