AHEGAO Kit
An infrastructure administration platform: backup, network inventory and storage upkeep through pluggable kits.
Challenge
Backups run, but restores are never tested: whether a copy is usable becomes clear during the incident itself. There is no current network diagram — addressing and node roles are known only from one administrator's memory. Artifact storage grows without a retention policy until the disk fills. Each operation is covered by its own script on its own node, with no single execution log.
Hosted administration panels close that gap, but they require moving infrastructure management outside the perimeter. For some environments that is ruled out by security policy.
Solution
The platform is deployed inside the customer's perimeter from a single compose file and requires no outbound connections. The core owns accounts and access rights, jobs and schedules, the resource registry, teams and on-call rotations, secret storage and monitoring.
Capability is added through kits: the PostgreSQL Kit takes backups, encrypts them and confirms they are usable by test restore; the Network Map Kit sweeps the subnet and builds a current diagram; the Nexus OSS Kit maintains artifact storage. Metrics are exported to Prometheus and Zabbix, and backups are written to a local path, NFS/SMB or S3. The source is distributed under the Elastic License 2.0.
Outcome
Infrastructure is administered from a single panel inside the customer's perimeter: backups are created and confirmed by restore, the network diagram is built by sweeping the subnet, artifact storage is cleared by retention policy, and every run produces a report. No outbound connections are needed — Prometheus and Zabbix pull the metrics.
