Challenge
Off-the-shelf booking plugins cover the storefront but not the owner's work: availability is kept apart from the marketplaces, payment goes out to an external service, invoices and notifications are assembled manually. Someone else's data model cannot be extended to fit your own property attributes and settlement scenarios — every new property type runs into its limits.
Solution
The service is built from scratch: catalog, booking and journal are served by its own server, data is stored in PostgreSQL under its own schema, and the admin panel is a separate application on top of the same API. Property attributes are created in the admin panel and appear in the catalog filter automatically — a new attribute needs no code change.
Availability syncs with listing sites over iCal both ways: their calendars are pulled on a schedule, ours is published outwards. Card payments go through an acquirer with a signed request and a callback confirmation, invoices are issued as PDF, and notifications go to email and Telegram through a shared layer.
Outcome
The service covers renting end to end: filtered catalog, availability calendar, payments, invoices and notifications. The storefront, the journal and the house rules are kept in the same system and edited from the admin panel in two languages, so a launch does not wait on a separate website project.
