Challenge

Manufacturing medical implants requires traceability for every item — from the material batch to release. While inventory, procurement, quality control and document flow are kept apart, that chain has to be reassembled manually from several sources, and departmental data drifts out of sync.

Solution

Production, inventory, procurement, quality control and document flow run in one system. For any item the full chain can be reconstructed: which material batch, which operations, which checks and which documents.

Production orders are generated from defined processes and accounting data instead of being assembled manually. Gaps between departments are closed: management sees manufacturing metrics in the same system where those metrics arise.

Outcome

The production cycle now runs in one system: the full chain can be reconstructed for any item, production orders follow defined processes, and management sees manufacturing metrics in a single environment instead of assembling them from departmental reports.
